Like most development project, Irrigation involves multiple tasks; identify need, project development, funding, campaign in project catchment, demand creation, scheme feasibility, technical survey, detailed project report of individual schemes, technical sanction, administrative approval, materials procurement, implementation, training of farmers and handing over to community for effective utilization and deriving sustained benefits. The list is not inclusive; one can add some more to the list depending upon the area, people, time frame etc.

It's difficult that a single agency, however endowed, can do justice to execute all the above activities. We thus value partnership, scout, identify, bring different agencies with different skill sets for large scale impact. In irrigation cell, we work with Government, Market and NGOs.
