JHARKHAND STATE LIVELIHOOD PROMOTION SOCIETY

2017 began journey with a collaborative project with Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society,(Rural Development Department, Government of Jharkhand ) to launch the pilot irrigation project in 7 blocks in the seven districts of Dumka, Giridih, Gumla, Khunti, Palamu, Ramgarh and Ranchi.

Government of Jharkhand launched Pilot community Irrigation schemes in 2016-17 with an allocation of Rs.100 Crores for implementation of 1,000 plus community managed irrigation schemes to benefit approximately 20, 000 small and marginal farmers. JSLPS is the nodal agency to implement this scheme.

TRIF signed MoU with JSLPS JSLPS to spearhead the above programme. It placed a multi disciplinary team to work with JSLPS as an embedded cell. Some of the

  • 1. Member of the State Steering Committee and Technical Appraisal Committee
  • 2. Designing and estimation irrigation schemes, approval from competent authority
  • 3. Recruitment, training and on field support to project staff
  • 4. Develop training modules for project staff and Community institutions (Water Usres Groups)
  • 5. Develop and finalise tender for procuring irrigation equipments
  • 6. Engage with empanelled vendors to supply quality materials and commission as per technical specification
  • 7. Facilitate Project teams to promote water users groups
