Government

Average cost of irrigation schemes we promote varies from Rs. 3.5-12 lakh for 10-50 farmers. The cost varies depending on types of schemes; details given in scheme type and prototypes in Knowledge Centre.

Government allocates significant amount for irrigation targeting small and marginal farmers. In the past all irrigation works were taken up by the Water Resource Department (WRD). With time more departments has been involved, District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) in 80s and Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) Government of India, and State Ministries of Renewable Energy known by different names for recently introduced Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evem Utthan Mahabhiyan (PM KUSUM)

There is ample scope to participate with the above agencies to add value in overall programme design and implementation and ensure inclusion of small and marginal farmers.
