State funded lift irrigation schemes have been installed as pilot basis in Jama block of Jharkhand to enhance cropping intensity 200%. 119 numbers of schemes have beeen approved and 96 schemes installed till date in the blcok, which creates 1897 acre command area. 2227 farmers are getting benefitted from the schemes. 119 Water User Group were formed to maintain and utilize the surface runoff through green energy sources (Solar, Gravity).
